Meet me on Monday 9/20/10

1. What is your favorite all time movie?
Gosh, too many to choose from. Most recently Inception but Forgetting Sarah Marshall ranks higher than that. My favorite classic would be Gone with the Wind.

2. How often do you go over the speed limit?
I try to stick to it, especially in school zones (where lots of people blatantly ignore!) but every so often my mind wanders and I catch myself going more than 5 over.

3. What really gives you the creeps?
Creepy crawlies like cockroaches, but if it can hurt me or my loved ones (black widow spiders, scorpions, snakes) then that's even worse!

4. What is your favorite snack?
Depends on my mood. One of my faves is the Buffalo flavored pretzels from Snyder's.

5. Would you rather be a dog named Killer or a cat named Fluffy?
Give me a dog's life anyday! Here's our lazy mutt - he has it so rough doesn't he?

Hello bloggy friends! 2011 is off and running and as usual, so am I. I was hoping to get more recipes posted but just been too busy! With what, you ask? Here's a start... Penguin cookies

Made these little cuties this weekend for my friend Leslie's 50th birthday party. As you could probably guess she collects penguins. It was my first experience using black icing - interesting. I had to remind myself that the color would darken after some time. At first it was an unappetizing gray-purple but as you can see it turned out black (as did our tongues after eating them). People say the black tint changes the flavor of the royal icing but I couldn't tell. Maybe because most if it was covered with white. It did take quite a lot if gel though. I used Americolor gel colors, in case you were wondering.
