News flash: Arizona 10-year-old drops his locks
Gilbert, Arizona - Long-time member of the local chapter of the Mophead Society, Justin M. recently underwent a drastic makeover, most noticeable by his new haircut. Former nicknames like "ragamuffin" and "boy with long hair" can no longer apply as the new short style by Kathy L. of Great Clips in Gilbert, was fashioned with clippers. Justin has been getting haircuts from Kathy for nearly two years and has had long hair since she's known him.
"Wow, he has ears!" exclaimed friend Todd D., also of Gilbert, "He looks 'smart'."
"I was amazed that he wanted to do it," said mom Jen, "but he looks great. I thought it would make him look younger but as it turns out, he looks a little older." Dad Terry was shocked when he first saw him, but agrees that it's a good look for him, especially with hot summer weather coming.
Justin likes the new style too. "Now when I clean my ears, there's no hair to get in the way." He is also adjusting to things like using hair gel and feeling the breeze on the back of his neck.
Some speculate the drastic change was prompted by a recent hospital visit when a nurse mistook him for a girl from behind, though Justin denies these allegations.
The big question is, will he keep the new 'do?

ReplyDeleteWill it inspire anyone else in the family to follow suit? (and I don't mean Terry!)
