Another weekend gone by...
It was a typical hot summer day here in Phoenix, and we spent it in the neighbors' pool. Just enjoying each others' company, food, beverages and good conversation. Suzy had a good time too, of course. Kathy made some delicious Buffalo Chicken sandwiches, and I contributed with a great recipe I saw on the Food Network (see end of post).
This Friday night we went to the movies and saw Get Him to the Greek which we really enjoyed. It was so funny, but with movie tickets at about 10 bucks a pop, you could certainly save a few bucks by waiting for it to be on RedBox. Our next movie will probably be Dinner for Schmucks which comes out on July 30th.
Oh, and some recent big news - Eric has officially started driving (finally!). He got his permit about a week and a half ago and Terry and I have been taking him out for practice. He's been doing pretty good, but needs to practice his right turns and his stopping. It's funny how teaching someone to drive properly forces you to more consciously consider your own driving habits. Two biggies - at least for me - are avoiding the rolling stop (ie., actually stopping before the stop sign) and turning into the proper lane of a multi-lane road (ie., not turning left and going into the right lane immediately).
Ugh, Monday comes way too soon, but I have Friday off. I guess I shouldn't complain about a 4-day work week followed by a 3-day weekend. =)
