Cheddar-Mustard Beer Dip

I absolutely love the Fall for many reasons, some being...
  1. The hot desert weather is about to go away for another 8-9 months
  2. Football
  3. Food!
With cooler temps and football on TV, I get the itch to start making comfort food. Those three things just seem to go together. Here is one of my favorite football-friendly recipes. It's almost like a fondue, and you can dress it up for a fancy party, or just serve it with mini pretzels for something more casual. Enjoy!

Cheddar-Mustard Beer Dip

Ingredients
12 oz. pasteurized process Cheddar cheese spread, cubed
4 oz. cream cheese, cubed
2/3 cup beer (Budweiser works best)
1/2 cup Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
1/3 cup chopped green onions
Pretzel chips, mini pretzel twists, bread sticks, or bagel chips for dipping

Directions
In medium saucepan, over low heat, heat cheese spread and cream cheese until melted and smooth, stirring constantly to avoid scorching. Slowly blend in beer and mustard. Stir in green onions. Pour into serving bowl or mini crock pot. Serve warm with mini pretzels, pretzel chips, bread sticks or bagel chips.
